BT Price increase
13th September 2016
BT and other carriers operating in the UK have recently announced price increases from 1 October 2016. As most networks are dependent on BT at a wholesale level to deliver business communications, this will affect costs for all suppliers for numerous products and services, including line rental, landline calls and mobile calls. This has been compounded by the weakness of the pound against the US dollar and the Euro which has led to an increase in charges for international calls.
As a result of these changes, Calteq in turn has had to review pricing to move with the market. Although prices will be marginally increased in some areas, we have ensured that Calteq remains competitive, keeping our price increases below that of BT to offer our customers significant cost savings.
Calteq price increases are as follows:
- All line rentals/broadband rentals will increase by £1 per line per month. BT have increased their line rental charges to over £22 for each line with price increases every 6 months.
- Select services such as call minder are increasing to £2.90 per service per month
- Inland UK call charges (local, national and mobile) will increase by 10%
- All international calls will increase by 12%
Nigel Willetts, Director at Calteq comments “We have always aimed to provide first class communications services to our customers at one of the most competitive price points in the industry, and will continue to stand by that commitment. We firmly believe this presents an exciting opportunity for businesses who are interested in how they too can take advantage of our fantastic cost savings and outstanding customer service and would urge them to get in touch with our sales team today”
